Week 1

Grades 8-12 – English Language Arts – Science- History – Culture – Indigenous Landscapes at Spanish Colonization

Students will know that the daily life of the indigenous people was richly varied and dictated by the geology and ecology of their environment.

Grades 9-12 – Social Studies – Identity: Self, Environment, and Culture

To understand the concept and importance `of identity and its relationship to the individual; to develop an appreciation of the belief systems and identity of others.

 

Week 2

Grades 9-10 – Social Sciences – Colonization in the United States

Students will be able to compare and contrast the different European colonizations of the pre-United States through the interpretation of primary sources.

Grades 9-12 Social Studies /English – Mission Perspectives

1) The students will understand the different interactions between early European/Native relationships

2) The students will be able to identify the goals of each mission style (perspective)
