Dr. Rose Marie Beebe is a preeminent Santa Clara University Spanish professor, paleographer, and author who specializes in the transcription and translation of Spanish colonial documents and manuscripts specific to the Mission and Mexican eras of early California history.  Dr. Beebe was called upon to present translations of Father Junípero Serra’s personal documents, and we here post responses by her to several questions germane to the NEH Landmarks workshop of July 2013.  Her comments may be reviewed via the following YouTube.com video links:
