Dr. Douglas Monroy is a preeminent Colorado College professor of History whose expertise spans Native Californian and Hispanic and American intercultural interaction and its consequences specific to the Mission, Mexican, and early American eras of early California history.  Dr. Monroy was called upon to address a host of questions and perceptions regarding the myths and realities of the California missions, and we here post responses by him to several questions germane to the NEH Landmarks workshop of July 2013.  His comments may be reviewed via the following YouTube.com video links:
